I have been slowly adding in a human element to my photography and most of the time since I am alone when out shooting it’s usually me in the image. I was hiking around a thrust fault that runs under Lake Champlain and comes up in the Northern part of Burlington and the frozen lake allowed me to get out to this large rock. The day was very cold and the cloud cover was something to be desired but I wanted to give this rock some scale. I think the image by itself without me in it would be rather plain but I like the rock here looming over me. It gives the impression that there are things in this world larger than ourselves.
