Winter is a cruel mistress and she is finally starting to break her icy grip here in Vermont. We are in this pattern where it’s getting warmer during the day but extremely cold at night. It should start getting warmer next week but in the meantime everything is starting to melt a little during the day time hours.
I came across this cool formation of ice with just a thin layer of melted water underneath. I really liked the pattern that was developing on the surface in the ice and how the sunlight was bouncing off of it. It was a great reminder that spring will be here soon and that I can venture out into the back country again.
