Sunset in the city

Canon 7d/ Canon 17-40mm F4 L series lens. UV filter. Induro tripod and ballhead. Cokin "P" Series filter holder and a 2 stop graduated neutral density filter. Three image HDR. Initial capture @ ISO 100, 17mm, F 16 @ 1/8.

I made this image a few week ago while scouting out the top of this parking garage. This is a view of upper church street and Burlington, Vermont at sunset. Church street is a pedestrian walkway which extends several blocks down from this location. It is the center of Burlington and there are lots of shops and places to eat in the area. The man who designed the Church Street Marketplace also did one in Boulder, Colorado which is very similar to ours.

As you can see the cityscape in Burlington is interesting but we don’t have a lot of tall buildings. Our tallest building is 11 stories high if you can believe that. The parking garage here is a great vantage point to see the city and also the only one that does not have really high walls on the top of the structure blocking the view like all the other ones do. The clouds here rolled in right as I made this bracket set but they add a little bit of interest here. Just thought I would show everyone a tiny piece of the biggest city in Vermont!
