The “Bubbles.”- Jordan Pond. Acadia National Park. Maine.

Jordan Pond. Acadia National Park. Mount Desert Island. Maine.

If you have never been to Acadia National Park…Let me just say that it is big and you just wont have enough time to shoot everything here! It really is hard to describe in the right words just how beautiful and majestic that this park is. From mountains and ponds to crashing ocean waves and towering cliffs…Just about any subject matter you could think of to shoot is here. We were fortunate on our vacation to be staying about ten minutes away from the park and it was truly breathtaking to see at least a small portion of it during our stay.

Here in this image is the fantastic Jordan pond and the two small mountains in the background are called “The Bubbles.” This pond is a real beauty and a must see! I wish I had more time to explore the area but with lots to see and a heavy dose of tourists I did my best to come away with a real keeper image. FYI..There is a fantastic restaurant right up the hill from this shot with the best crab cakes that I ever had! A bit pricey but we splurged and had a great lunch with the scene in this image as the backdrop!

Image Data: ISO 100, 24mm, F11 @ 1/15. Canon 7d/ Canon 17-40mm F4 L series lens. B+W UV filter. Cokin 3 stop neutral density filter and a 2 stop graduated neutral density filter. Induro tripod and ballhead.
