The holidays are upon us with another year ending and I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone much happiness and good fortune in the new year. I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the kind words, image views, blog views, And for just all around awesomeness for following my photography work. I want to thank my family, friends and all of the local people this year who took an interest in my work or made comments on it. It means a lot to me and gives me fuel to continue my photography work wherever it may take me in 2013. I have had the great pleasure of being able to meet and follow photographers from all over the world and for this I am grateful.

Your work inspires me and I do not know where I would be with my work without you! I wanted to share this special holiday image I shot yesterday just simply to brighten everyone’s day and add a bit of good cheer into your new year. I originally shot this to be a two image focus stack but in the end I really liked the out of focus version much better and I went with that. The shot was spur of the moment but I wanted something to post ahead of my best of 2012 post. Thank you to all of you creatives out there both pro and am..You all make the world a better place!

  1. Wonderful image Andy, love the Bokeh and the blur on the candle at the same time, really works for me. I’d like to echo the comment about inspirational work, you are definitely a source of inspiration to me and I hope this is reflected to a degree in some of my work this year.
hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.
